More About Sealants

Sealants are a thin, insulating layer (generally made from plastic resin) that sticks to the chewing surface of your child’s back teeth and smoothen them out. By sealing fissures in your child’s teeth, sealants reduce the chances of your child experiencing oral health issues such as cavities.

Although brushing and flossing are important ways to help prevent cavities, it is not always possible for your child to adequately clean all those tiny spaces between the teeth— specifically the back molars that are used to chew and can become a hiding spot for leftover food.

Why your child may need sealants:

Sealants are a proactive solution that gives your child a healthier smile. Contact our team today to give your child a healthier smile.
